To think that in a universe so large that the earth itself doesn't come to thought, whereas we are even tinier creatures living on it. There is much more to the universe. To think that if the milky way galaxy is just another one of those little dots of the universe, increases the possibility that, in another one of those 'dots' there might be another system bound by a star. Another planet bound to it like earth. And another race of living tiny beings in this colossal universe.
Let me explain the meaning of 'distance travelled by light' here. It is the distance which the fastest thing on our planet will travel in a given time. Considering the billions of LIGHT years it will take for us diminutive creatures to reach there, chances are we never will.
So in our part of the universe, the part which has been reached by us Lilliputians, we have to make a change. What change Aneesha? How can we make a change to this massive universe, when all we are of it is trifling mount?
A change is a possibility that will lead to another. For instance, take life, your life.
Once a supernova exploded in some part of the universe. Over the years the remains of it slowly started forming balls, clusters of it. The balls that formed were very tiny, compared to the supernova. Out of these balls formed some were bigger than the others. The smaller balls started getting pulled towards the bigger balls, in attempt to form a massive one like the supernova. But then, the smaller balls did something else, they started rotating around the bigger ball, instead of combining with it. One of these small balls had gotten a few gases from the supernova that you may call Oxygen, Hydrogen, Nitrogen etc that slowly started combing. The combinations started to advance. They formed-life. Your life.
To think that because a supernova decided to blast, and the remains decided to form clusters, the clusters decided to rotate around bigger ones, the clusters decided to contain gases and the gases decided to form life.
Can't you make a decision?
YOU ARE EVER GRATEFUL TO THIS UNIVERSE.
Then why are you destroying it?
Why are you destroying the thing that created YOU?
Why are you destroying your planet.
I could have gone on and on about how we formed.
But what use? My fingers are getting tired and nobody will read this anyway.
Yet the fact that by me writing this I am making a change to whoever reads this, forces me to continue.
Make a change. Save YOUR planet. Because I'm saving mine.
Where did you learn all of this Aneesha?
3 words. Magic school Bus. 1 word. Discovery channel. 3 words. 5 years old.
I was able to think through all of this when i was 5 years old.
Why can't you?
